Hello All,


Can anyone help me with my parking brake. I have a 1968 F-250 single cab long bed Hi Boy and the parking brake is shot out. It's a pull style lever and the cable housing is so bad when you pull the lever it doesn't pull the cable at all. It has a yoke underneath the middle of the truck that connects the two cables from the brake drums to the single cable. I have researched quite a bit online and cannot seem to find this style anywhere for this truck.. HELP..

Have you called Green sales as they do carry a good number of classic parts.
I got both of my wheel E/B cables from them. These thing are not cheap tho.

Is it the front single cable that you need or are others froze up also?

 

All of the cables need to be replaced

 

Keep and eye open at ebay as you never know when someone will post one or more nos ones. I paid about $150. for the two wheels. I remove foot pedal e-brake cable and it just needed a good lubing and reinstalled that.

I see one now & then on ebay and they go fast because so hard to come across them.

You can setup a alert on ebay when one gets posted you'll get a email selling you.

It seems the rear brake cables are the same length but I do not understand the difference of left and right. I need a pair for my truck. Any place I can get them? Moredleg

 

I do know LMC just started listing them as available. Truck Parts and Truck Accessories Note they do not list the front cable, only rears. I have no idea if these are a good quality reproduction or not so if you go this rout let us know.
