Hi Guys I have a 1995 f 350 srw truck that I ordered new in Nov. 94 & received it @ the end of Mar 95. This truck needs me to replace the rad core support bushings. The brackets are rust free but the bushings are cracked. I,ve got every thing with Ford parts. Lucky I think. My question is how much front stuff do I need to remove? Like my bumper is a warn winch model with a winch installed behind the bumper. I plan on using my saw all to cut thru the bolts ect. I,m hoping that I do not have to remove to much off the front. Now I think I have to lift the rad core support a bit to get the new bushings into the brackets but do I have to loosen the cab brackets bolts? I ,m sure I have remove my inter cooler {pipes hoses} before lifting. Any help with suggesting's or advice is warmly accepted & appreciated. Thank you all very much. What all are you planning to replace? I don't think there is too much to remove. Grind ou the old rivets and replace. The hard part will be getting the nuts off on the top side of the core support. I'm in chilliwack BTW. There's a few guys on here from the lower mainland
If you are taking the front off do all the cab bushings so you can get the body panels to line up again. I have done them on single cab trucks. It is a pain but once you set your mind to it not so bad.
Hi Guys I only want to replace the front rubber bushings on the L & the R side, they are cracked not missing or broke up. The cab ones are still like new. There is no rust. I don,t hopefully need to dismantle to much. Just wanted to know how much I need to remove to get to the top nut off the thru bolt Thanks for your replies . Friskyjake
Yes I have got the top nuts loose now. Ist lots off pp blaster penetrating goop over a few days. Did not want to break the bolts. I set a 3/8 fuel line on top of the bolts & dispensed the goop down the pipe. That worked out OK. I did use !/2 inch extension & a swivel to loosen the nuts. I believe I need to remove some of the hold up screws to pry the inner fender liner away so that I can place the rubber bushings in the right spot. That I will do next week. Have to leave it for now. Other appointments. Thanks for your advice, that what this forum is all about Friskyjake
