Closed Knuckle Dana 44 Hub removal

Hi guys, I got a closed knuckle axle for parts. I need the steering knuckle to replace the one on mine which is all stripped out (steering arm). Im trying to remove the old WARN hub. I had to drill the small hub bolts to get the cap off and I removed the inner ring and now Im stuck. Is the hub pressed on there or is there another ring Im missing? Ive attached a few photos. Thanks in advance for any help.
TJ

There's another ring, and it can be a bugger. It's made of round wire and it expands out into the cast iron hub. With the aluminum body of the locking hub inside of it you can't get at it very well. The best way I've found is to take a pointed knife and try to wedge it under the ring, near the end of the ring. If you can do that the end of the ring will pop out to where you can try to hook it with something and pull it out. You can use the knife to kind of work the ring out little by little if needed.

Thanks. Is it on the outside edge where you can see I marked up the aluminum?

I found it and got the whole thing apart. Now its time to take the axle on my truck part to replace the knuckle and steering arm.

I got my Old Timer out and popped it out in no time. I'm gonna clean up all these axle parts and would like to paint them any recommendations on a good paint I should use?

Thanks. So I pulled my axle apart today and am pleasantly suprised at the heavy duty differences btwn my axle and the donor I got. See the pics. The axle is thicker starting near the U joint and the ball itself is much thinker than the doner. Once again all I was really after was the knuckle and steering arm which looks great from the donor. Looks like I may need to find some bearings and seals and get to work putting this all back together.
