The truck only has 96k on it so I don't think it's the tranny feels like the motor almost would injectors on there way out make the truck hop every now and then also it's a automatic any input will be greatly appreciated thanks for helping

 

What kind of truck? Year?

I'm currently on my third transmission at 180k miles, and i don't really tow that heavy with it. These trucks are hard on the transmission.

What exactly do you mean by hops?

 

like it feels like it bucks really quick then it's fine again just happened tonight for the first time truck has a ts6 chip in it with stock injectors also has 4.88 axle gears and if I have it it goes through all the gears just fine

 

Take the ts chip and try it, (remove the chip from pcm)

 

Cam position sensor can cause this. Should be around 25 bucks from the Ford dealer. Use Motorcraft or IH only.

 

^^^ this was my first thought. Mine did something very similar, and it was the cam sensor. As stated, OEM or IH only

 

Thanks a lot I'll give that a shot and it only bucked at like around 30 mph if I cursed around that for a little bit and it hasn't don't it since last night and I've been on it and it shifts fine in all gears no slipping at all

 

The stars aligned just right when mine did it the first time, because it did it right when I sneezed so I thought I caused it. Then 2 weeks later it did it again. The cam sensor can be somewhat finicky. If you change and it does it again try Adam's suggestion of pulling the chip. The connection could be loose, causing intermittent problems.

 

mine might be doing the same thing... But mine only happens under acceleration. Boost and RPM crater, and then pop back up like nothing happened. I'll toss the IH CPS in tonight and see if that fixes it. Thanks guys!
