Hi I am working on getting my 1979 F-350 smogged in CA. I have some of the parts like the smog pump, check valve, hoses, etc. but need the hard 'tube' that connects to the front and back of the head and I need the bracket for that tube.
Any idea where to find this stuff? I also have the proper Holley / Ford Carb, EGR Plate and 'manifold?' that goes on it and the original air cleaner unit even.
Also any 'tricks ' or 'tips' would be much appreciated.

I recently went through this with a 79 300 6 cyl. I went to CarPart - Replacement Auto Parts and found my exact truck with everything smog intact. I got detailed pics and all the parts needed from a bone yard in PA for $125 shipped. That was the smog pump, all the brackets, hoses, check valve, bolts, and belt. Installed it all, then took it to a smog shop to get it tuned.

When I first started my search, I thought I was in some serious trouble, but it all worked out good. Good luck.

It has to be attempted by a certified smog shop, if they cannot find all the parts to smog it then it goes to a CARB referee who can give a permit to keep operating. I think I should be able to get the parts though so it should work out. fingers crossed. Thanks Phildo
