Hi Mr. Diaz, Motors lookin' good. The above FTE Reader (s) is right. Truck W.P's are DIFFERENT for a truck, and should run 3/4 " belts through-out. I'm not sure whatcha got there, but I will check pulley groove on my Flathead.

I hear you but I could not find anyone producing 3/4 pulleys on the WPs. Let me know the width on yours and if you happen to know where to find 3/4 WPs?

Well, it turns out the belt was not an 11/16 even though the guy (NAPA) on the phone told me it was. I happened to look at the packaging and its a 19/32 by 53 7/8 lenth That is even worse since its smaller.

Here's the belt on Doc's 49: Gates Green Stripe TR20544 - Truck & Bus Series V-Belt | O'Reilly Auto Parts

It's a 5/8", 54-3/4" long. He's been running it for a couple of years now. (I had a picture of his engine and could read the numbers off the belt)

I double checked mine today....they both appear to be 5/8. Can get the #'s off them if anybody needs them.
Like I said, no problems running them......I drove it today!
Unless you must have factory correct belts, I wouldn't worry to much about it.

O.K., here's the set-up on my Flathead, which has been run like this for years without tossing a belt, or slippage. Fan belt is 11/16 th, and the crank pulley groove is 3/4 " at the TOP, or widest part of pulley. W/P & Gen. belt is 5/8 th, with the W/P/ groove 5/8 " at top/widest part of pulley. As other readers have stated, even these "mismatches " should be fine. Even Dennis Carpenter catalog shows 5/8th for truck W/P. Maybe original pumps were 3/4" ?
