$469 and the engine is back in my possession bored and honed, new pistons on the old refurbished rods, polished crank, rods and main caps, new cam bearings. She is on the stand already.
Also bought the paint in old rustic brown and primer in flat white and gloss clear coat to start painting the bronco.

I had the machine shop check the harmonic balancer over and he said it was good. The one I chose to use is actually only 4 years old according to the machine shop which is probably true as it had a reman engine not very old on the bronco it just got abused bad. I also had him check over the flexplate as the last thing I want is the engine to get f'd up from that.
Trust me I am going over every little thing there is on it as this is my dream truck and building engines is a lot of fun to me.
Next engine I build is going to be a 350-400hp small block going in a 62 Fairlane for a cruiser\show car.

Started gasket port matching the heads and taking the thermactor bumps out when my Dremel tool broke on me. Got to get a new one then back to work. They are cleaning up well. I know it isn't worth much in power wise doing it but the terrible ports were driving me nuts and I wanted to try my hand at porting.
