1946 Front Axle rating

Hi everyone!

I am looking for specification of the axle rating for my original front axle.
I've found this thread that has info for the F1, but I haven't found anything about earlier trucks.
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...t-ratings.html

Does anyone have this I would be very glad. I need to show it to the officials when getting my truck legal after my rebuild.

The truck is a 1946 1/2-ton 100hp, with the original I-beam front axle.

Any help would be appreciated!

/Simon

I have the 1946 Salesman's Handbook that is similar to the book referenced in the linked thread. Unfortunately it does not contain the same chart showing load rating for the front axle. It is, however, shown that the Ford part number for the 1942 to 1947 Commercial light duty truck front axle is 7RC 3010-B, which is the same part number quoted for the 1948-1952 F-1 half ton model. The chart in the linked thread, therefore, also applies to your truck. If your licensing authority requires photo evidence supporting this fact please say. Stu
