Need help valuing a 1964 F350 Open Road Camper

I have a 1964 Open Road F350 camper with 89,000 original miles. I'm trying to find any resource that will help me value it. It runs, has very little rust on the cab and the interior is partially restored. It was a project and I simply don't have the time anymore to finish it.

How much do you value it at? Nobody on here is going to be able to say what it is worth since it is priceless. Nada guides give some people a starting point but most find the ratings to be a bit on the high side - and they don't have a choice of an F350 with the chassis camper. If I choose a 1966 F350 Styleside then it gives me these numbers

Base Price $2,425 Low - $5,025 Average - $9,150 High - $17,000
Options: (change)
352 V8 Engine $475 $800 $975
TOTAL PRICE: $2,425 Low - $5,500 Average - $9,950 High - $17,975

But, the trick isn't how much to me, it would be finding someone interested in buying it. To me, at least, $5000 seems a bit much but location can also affect prices. That's why Nada asks for your ZIP code before anything else.

The guides don't really help much due to the rarity and uniqueness of it. I'm looking for someone that I could pay to get real value. While I am looking to sell it I don't want to give it away so to speak. I'd hate to sell it and then find out 3 months later that its worth 3 times what I sold it for.

Ah, yes. I have done that with my Trans Ams for insurance purposes. Guy came to the house and looked them over for condition and checked all the numbers and wrote up an appraisal. Cost for me for each was a couple of hundred dollars but the insurance company pretty much required it for a stated-value policy. I don't know of anyone doing it remotely by pictures and description myself, since it would be easier to fool someone, so you'd probably be looking for someone in CT or wherever you live.

Oh, just one other point that we say about the column shifted automatic Trans Ams - Rare and unique don't always equal more value.

When I bought my Ranger and brought it back up from California the local DMV wanted to charge me more for taxes based upon some value they had. I wasn't doing that so they said take it to a used car lot and get them to give an appraisal so I did that and got it reduced down below what I paid for it ($1,825 was all I paid). I think they couldn't believe I bought a running driving truck for that and brought it all the way up here, but they be wrong.

Like beauty, value is in the eye of the beholder.

Around here that truck would be hard pressed to bring $2,500.

Some places, they might charge the owner to haul it away!

Just curious Nycport, is the back of the cab solid or 'cut away' like modern motorhomes?
