What trips are you planning?

I thought we had a thread but ........

We are pulling out on April 14/15, depending on how I do at the eye docs, for a trip to Arkansas to meet up with some family for a long weekend. Our trip is still in the final plan stage, but expect to travel through VA,TN, KY on the way. We will tour the Corvette Museum (and hope the ground wont 'open' again) and Elvis' home and maybe the Grand Ol' Opera. Then on the way back, up the East Coast and possibly the Outer Banks and finally home to get ready for our May-August seasonal site before taking off again to the Southwest. That trip is in the barely started framework though CO, NM, AZ, UT are on the itinerary with, hopefully, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon after spending a few days on the South Rim last fall plus a couple more days in Santa Fe.

Gettin' anxious

We are just the opposite we are getting anxious to get back to our home base, we left on the 29th of Sept and plan on being back around the 27th of April. We still have Death Valley, Sequoia NP, Yosemite NP and a RV rally in Vacaville CA to go before we head home.

In August we will be in Duluth MN for a Tall Ships Festival and a RV rally then back to Nebr until the end of Sept when we will start it all over again, we will end up in az again next fall.

If you are going to do the Outer Banks you may want to consider catching the ferry at Cedar Island NC to Ocracoke Island and the free ferry to Hatteras, then go north. We did it the opposite direction and had a great time, if you like sea food we found a small fishing boat owners run fish store on the south end of Ocracoke Island that had some of the best and freshest sea food we have ever had.

Interesting that MN has a tall ships festival. The closest here is RI.

I am looking forward to the NC/SC shores since I haven't been there in way too many years. I have both states tourist guide for some guidance. Seafood is always a BIG plus since we go to Maine occasionally just for a feast (and a visit to LL Bean). Also have been to Nova Scotia/Cape Breton plus Prince Edward Island for their seafood and will do that again, possibly next year.

We have a short trip to the Black Hills planned in June, and then late July we are going to take a MN to NC trip with some stops along the way. But the trip will end in NC and stay there.

Well..so far this year, a trip to the Virginia and the Outer banks this last Jan and a few weeks ago Philadelphia..oh wait..that is past tense.

Wyoming in August for family reunion, talking about swinging through Colorado since we are next door to see the grandkids on the way home. Would like to hit Carlsbad Cavern's perhaps. So somewhere around 4K-4500 miles.

Utah in June. Sounds like that will be a car trip. Maybe taking my parents along. Couple of trips to the Big Horns of Wyoming and hopefully a Yellowstone trip with the camper.

We were going to Myrtle Beach this year with the new 5th wheel but in-laws are come up instead. So at some point this summer a short trip for a week or so to Bar Harbor, Maine. Love the lobster.

Just picked up the fifth wheel today. We already have trips planned for the third week in April to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve, then in late June to the Four Corners (CO, UT, AZ, NM), and a couple of other trips through the summer and fall to places here in Colorado that we haven't planned out yet.

Your late June trip sounds like what we are planning for end of August into mid Sept. We spent a bunch of time in UT, AZ and NM last year and just want some more time there and add CO since we haven't been there since we quit skiing a few years ago

We are on our way from Pahrump NV to Sequoia NP and 178 to 127 to I-15 has got to the the most boring drive we have ever taken, I think it's even worse that 50 through NV. We made it about half way today so hopefully tomorrow will be a little better, we also had a flat tire on the truck this morning so we were a little late leaving. It will be refreshing to get out of the desert for a few days.

Dennys how's the weather/ temp up there? We pulled out of Texas a month ago couldn't take the Texas crud and been bopping around southern AZ. Going to have some solar installed then looking to head north if it warms up a bit.
