I am new to this whole thing and decided to jump in head first.
I bought a 67 f100 with a 302 married to a c4.
Couple months back the transmission died while i was driving to work. It will go backwards but not forwards.
I assumed the forward clutch pack is burned out smelling the fluid.
I am attempting a rebuild of the c4. Only i am running into an issue with removing the transmission. There is the crossember under the bellhousing. Does anyone have any tips on removing this crossmember to allow clearance for the transmission to drop down?
Any help would be appreciated.
"EDIT" Got it out and already started tearing down, any tips welcomed.
