What is best aftermarket windshield wiper setup?

I'm working on one now. Billit style with cable. If it gets much "louder" then I'm going to pull it and go another route. Installation was fairly easy with hardest part deciding where to put the motor. The transmissions are a little tricky and I had to grind and modify the passenger side to make it set at the same angle as the driver side. Still working on making the original bezel fit and look good without modifying and ordering aftermarket ones
There is an aftermarket one made by raingear thats around $500. It looks to be a fit in, but it sure is pricey.

Since you asked for the "best", here ya go...Home | RainGear Wiper Systems
I have this system on my 56 and have previously used them on my 53. This wiper system is designed specifically for your model truck and is not an adaptation from any other vehicle. Not cheap but definitely the best IMO.

To answer the OP I am going to look at another bronco II and see if the system is adaptable as I do not think the 1/4 shaft is going to last forever.

I just put a later motor in my stock assembly. Got 2 speeds, self parking, and 12V...pretty straight forward. An aftermarket delay would be nice...
I've adapted Lucas wipers to work - they're very similar to those pictured - they're cable operated. The last set I tried I kept having issues with, but I've had success wit them before, so I would recommend them again.

Yes...the cable driven ones are all based on 60s/70s British Lucas units.
One more thing to pull from that Jag donor car.
Amazingly, new parts are available, (eg cable boxes, motors, and event shaft nuts in chrome). The cable box and shaft come up through the original cowl holes, the Ford bezels then seal it to the cowl, the new British nut then tightens it all together, then the Ford wiper arms happen to fit onto the British shaft perfectly!!!!
I'm running mine via a 70s LTD wiper switch to get multi speed intermittent and push screen wash too!!
