Aluminum wheels for a 1951 Ford F4
#16
I'd like to know what those stock rims are? Look too small to be 20s, but are locking side ring Goodyear style which are unlike the oem Firestone 18s that came on F-4s. Could they actually be 17" Budds? Which would mean you've done a rear axle swap, since 17s won't clear stock drums. Questions, questions, questions. Stu

Nice truck. Yes, your original wheels are widow maker Firestone RH-5° style, and it would be best to replace them. But no, the Alcoa aluminum 19.5s, part number 763220, are no longer being produced. They are expensive when found. A set sold on eBay within the past year for about $3000 if my memory serves. They were offered as an option on FMC brand motor homes, and are very sought after by that group and others. There are 19.5” x 6.00” reproduction steel wheels that are imported to the USA from Turkey, so I would hope a set could be found in the UK as well. Another alternative in the USA is a used set of Budd 89340 steel wheels that are found on 1970s/1980s era Ford and Dodge based motor homes. It may be that these chassis were exported during those decades and might be found in the UK as well.
The imported reproduction wheels are available here through companies such as Wheels Now in Wisconsin. They have pictures and related information on their web site. Stu
