1972 F100 Vic swap

I have a 1972 F100 long bed that belonged to my dad. I am planning on doing a complete Vic swap (front and rear suspension, engine and transmission) I have watched multiple videos and read many posts. Looking for and suggestions before I get started. I have a complete 2008 Marquis I plan on using.

Welcome to the forum. Did you read the tech sticky notes yet? There is a ton of info there. I'm sure that the guys will chime in soon.

When I was cutting the roof off a donor truck this weekend the guy had a 2002 Lincoln that was going to be parted out. He said that newer than 2004 has an aluminum sub frame, does that also fit these trucks?

Crown Vic's, and Lincolns use the same front subframe. Using the Crown Vic rearend may cause problems because it is very wide. It requires weird offset wheels to fit. I saw several trucks at Goodguys last weekend that used the whole Crown Vic chassis and running gear. Those guys actually pulled the bedsides out to clear the tires. I'm sure they drive well, but looks like crap.

What's your location? Might be interested in some of the grand marquis parts depending.

2002-earlier Crown Vics don't have the same front suspension/crossmember as the 2003-2011 models.
