1996 302 converting to 351W

Will the intake on the 302 EFI work on a 351W with larger injectors? I am planning a rebuild of a good 351W to use in my 96 Supercab 4x4. The 302 is good with no oil use at 212,000miles, but this may change anytime, so I want to build a larger engine for the next twenty years.

Motorhead351 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.Motorhead351 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
The 351w block, is physically taller and wider than the 302.

That means the lower efi intakes, are different, ones wider than the other, they don't interchange.

The efi uppers on the regular 351w and 302 engines, are comprised of different port shapes, they don't interchange.

You need a complete 5.8 EFI motor to do this swap and because they introduced some new sensors with the OBD2 system and because part of one of those systems(the EGR) is routed differently on the 5.8 you need a '96 5.8 motor. Very few parts will transfer from the 5.0 but the complete engine harness will plug right in and the motor will run fine without a PCM change after it has had a chance to adjust to the larger motor.
