Hi Fellas, I'm building a 61 unit total body off resto. I have a Hilborn injected elect stack injected 428 CJ. Edel heads Ross Pistons solid roller motor all done and ready. Also Big in out Toploader 4 speed and alum cased 9" with 456 geared Detroit locker. It still has a way to go but making progress. I've had it all mocked up did some frame boxing moved the rear up top of the leafs and sending the axle to Sid for a drop.I made all the headers and exhaust Myself. So now I have taken it all apart again for some pickup work and paint. I mini tubbed the wheel wells by adding two inches to them and narrowed the rear ended an inch on each side for clearance. Im running old 8 1/2 x 16 Five spoke wheels that look like Americans but are U S wheels. They used to use these in the 60 s on Dragsters and early Funny Cars. They had old 10.00 -16 Racemasters on them. Im using them front and rear with LT 345 55 for the rear they are 13 wide and 31 tall for the rear. The fronts are 255 / 65 they are 28 1/2 tall by 8 wide. I'm going for the fat tire low look. Looking forward to sharing and learning.
