Allison MT-653 Transmission

Was the Allison MT-653 transmission offered in the F-Series Medium-Duty models during the 1980's?

MT = Manual Transmission in that chart.

MT = An Allison automatic transmission series. (AT, HT and others)

OP is asking about Fords using the MT series, not manual transmissions.

My ole brain is saying Ford Transmatic I think they were MT 41 six speed
with lockup (transamatic) (transomatic) don't remember spelling.
They are in my maintenance books very common with C cabs.
many mated to 391FTs.

The chart you have scanned, digitized; and have attached in this post shows that the MT-650 and MT-654 were available on the F-Series Medium-Duty, L-Series; and the B-Series chassis & cowl.
Answering my question that yes, the MT-650 series was available on these trucks.
I believe the MT-653 and MT-654 have a Park Pawl.
I know the rule of thumb when parking a Class 6-8 vehicle is to put the transmission in neutral and pull the **** (or, if the truck has Hydraulic Brakes-to pull the lever) to engage the parking brake; but I still wouldn't mind having a Park Pawl even in a Class 6-8 vehicle.

We had some '89-'92 F-700's, and I am pretty sure they had Allison MT-643's in them. None of them had a park pawl in the transmission, nor have I even seen an Allison MT with a 'park'.

The sun visor in my truck has instructions for both the AT545 and MT643 and neither of those has a park position. That said, I'm very excited about changing my at to a lockup transmission. I'd much rather use a MT65? than a 64?, but I've read the interface electronics are very different.
