Fuel Tank capacity

I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Crew cab F-250 Powerstroke, 156" wheelbase. Can anyone tell me fuel tank capacity? Ford's website and manual are somewhat cryptic. I believe it's 26 gallons.

Thanks

My 2011 has a 26. I believe the 36 gallon is an option. When I was shopping for 1/2 tons it seemed like the 2wd 150s were all 26 gallon but the 4wd were all 36 gallon. I assumed the 250s and 350s were the same way, but not the case

If the truck is a 2011 and up diesel, it will have a single 26 gallon tank unless it is a long bed crew cab with 172" wb and then it will have a single 36.5 gallon. The reason the diesel have small tanks than a gas burner is due to the room needed for the DEF tank.

you can look up the owner's manual for the truck you are looking at with this link. It should give you the tank size.

Good to know! I was going to look into putting a bigger factory tank on, but sounds like it wouldn't work. I'm getting close to 20mpg any way so stretching the legs every 500 miles is a good time to fuel up
