Question about new coil springs
This may sound like a dumb question but I've got some concerns and I figure that someone here with more knowledge on the subject will be able to give me some guidance.
I purchased new HD variable rate coil springs for my '69 F100, RWD to replace the stretched worn out springs. The new spring diameter is roughly 2.10mm larger than the old springs, which I attribute to them being heavy duty. My concern lies in the fact that when the top end of the new spring is sitting up against the "stop" of the top mount, the bottom pigtail end of the spring position is roughly 180 degrees different, (end of old spring sits toward the front of truck, new spring sits toward the rear), than the old spring and doesn't appear to sit on the lower mount as squarely as the old spring.
Is this something to be concerned about or am I worrying about nothing? I'm replacing the springs, shocks, king pins, tie rod ends, center link, radius arm bushings, etc. and I don't want to proceed if this issue will cause me problems.
TIA, BK

Maybe I'm worrying over nothing. I do appreciate your help though! From the lack of responses I'm guessing that it was indeed a stupid question. LOL Oh well, better safe than sorry!
Thanks again!
