Bearings, Manual Conversion, Brakes
Hey guys,
I am in the process of building/restoring a 1990 F150.
I am wanting to upgrade the rotors to 14" drilled and slotted. Also brembo (or equivalent) calipers and brakes. Also want to convert from automatic stripped out hubs to heavy duty Manual Lockers.
My question being this:
A) what do ya'll recommend for heavy duty wheel bearings (I only want to change them once) and is it possible to change it to free floating rotors (if I change the axle)
B) what all is involved with doing a auto to manual conversion (I've heard basically nothing but then I've also heard everything)
C) who makes 14 inch (yes I typed that right) rotors for these trucks or are they basically universal
D) who makes performance calipers for these trucks
E) when I buy a new (rear) axle could I get just get one with disc brakes on it and through it on there and everything compatible?
Thanks guys
