Little to enthusiastic for my own good.
So I found a 302 still in the truck, (able to run, idle warm up everything) and for 200$ for the engine, transmission and transfer case, I couldnt pass it up. And besides i needed an engine for 78 straight six. Well like it said, i think i was a little too enthusiastic. In my day of euphoria I didnt do any research and now I think I might be a up a creek without a paddle. Simple question; what do i need and what do i need to do to put that 302 in my 78? Thanks for the help as always and have a great day!

Bellhousing is same bolt pattern. SO, motor mounts, exhaust, depending on year of 302, some electrical, radiator hoses, vacuum hoses, and I am sure there is a bunch of little things. But if you want specifics, you need to provide specifics. What exactly did you get, what exactly do you have, and what exactly are you planning on transplanting.
