Here is a link to an ebay auction for that firewall: Ford 1953 1954 1955 1956 F 100 Pick Up Truck Flat Firewall DSM | eBay
My design, fabricated by Direct Sheetmetal, marketed by various retailers now. I receive no royalties on this item but the ebay vendor is in Ohio so he may be close to you.

I have done body work before but never on this level. In 1954 they didn't worry about panels being very straight.

So I Have some bad news. I made a stupid mistake on the rear fenders and bed I did not add enough activator and they are not going to cure properly.
It looks like I have some rework to do.

Rookie mistake o-well

I like your portable work surface. How much did that cost you?

Do yourself a favor and buy a set (2) of 3M fairing boards. These sanding boards are 4-1/2 X 30 inches and are used primarily in the boat trades. DIY bodymen seldom come in contact with these tools but believe me...once you use them you will wonder why you ever fought a short board when trying to smooth a large relatively flat surface like a door skin or hood.

Hey Garage Junky
One vote for getting it in primer & driving it! Trying to make these
old trucks perfect is a thankless, endless task. Get it moving again and work
out the kinks. You'll be busy but it won't be mindless sanding, grinding, & sanding...
