have been dealing with studder and hesitation when going 35-45 mph. when I accelerate the truck smooths out and picks up speed good when I take foot off the gas it coasts smooth. ONLY WHEN TRYING TO MAINTAIN THAT STEADY SPEED the shudder gets pretty bad at times.

within the last year or so ive replaced fuel pump and relay, plugs wires, distributor w/ cap and rotor ICM, ignition coil, new battery. truck starts up fine and idles ok sometimes skips when idling. now, I live in an apartment complex not alot of room to work when I changed the fuel pump I did not drain the fuel tank and clean it out so I've always been worried about this sucking up dirt or whatever was in the bottom of that old tank. someone help! LOL

Well a misfire at idle could also be a misfire while driving, which can cause shuddering once the torque converter locks.

Next time it starts shuddering, put your foot lightly on the brake pedal - just enough so the brakes drag very lightly and the brake lights come on. This will unlock the torque converter. See if the shuddering stops when you do that.

I would clean the egr and make sure it works properly. Had same issue with mine after the cam install because i deleted it, lol. Mine was 95 with the speed density bs though. Idk just a cheap fix if that is indeed it.
