My new work truck!!!
#32
Just a little update, tranny has been doing great so far I've stacked 4k most of those miles towing at least 5k plus 1500lbs worth of tools that sit on the bed. Another thing is I'm sending some spare injectors I had to JIM at Rosewood diesel, stock premium rebuild, was going to have them convert them to stage 1 but decided stock would be best as I plan to keep it's as stock as possible.

Injectors are such a big purchase when it comes to 7.3 diesels. Not only because of the price, but because of the many sizes, options and builders. To include the seemingly daunting task for those of us that have only seen it done in still pictures and videos.
Keep us informed with how it goes and your thoughts on the process.

It's not hard at all I've done a couple dozen 7.3 trucks. The only thing I recommend is draining the oil rails, less oil getting into the cylinders. There is two torque screws on the oil rail (you will see them when you remove the valve covers) removing the furthest back (closest to the firewall) will drain almost completely. I'll post pics to give you an Idea of what tools are needed and how to's

Started late today only worked for hour and a half on it, did some progress on driver side. Pics or didn't happened right lol..
Took of intake tube, IC tube, 42pin connector, battery tray mostly to sit in there, and lits more.
These were the torque screws I was talking about
The oil draining out
Prying out the injectors
Injector removed and a lint free towel stuck in there so that the fuel don't go in
Cyl #8 the only one with a burnt/worn out O ring
8 rebuilds and the 4 I removed
And might as well it still had the stockers.
I got to install all 4 injectors bit forgot to take pic. Tomorrow I'll finish and post a lot more pics
