Seems like a really nice time to be there. I kind of liked it, but I was also 17 years old at the time.
The beach was the place to be, but my parents took me to the other sites, which I would have never seen if they hadn't initiated it.

I would probably get bored on a boat for that long. Even the one we were on for 7 days was getting on the boring side by the end of the trip. I was sad to get off of it, because that meant that part of vacation was over, but I was also happy to have other options of things to do.

Were you by chance on a Carnival Ship? Just wondering. We never saw a single over drunk, rowdy individual on our cruises. Carnival Ships are known to be the "Partier Crowd" which may, or may not attribute to your experience.

Where there may be a time and a place to travel Carnival, I have found that the more relaxed, calm people cruise on Royal Caribbean. I think the alcohol is too expensive to get much too drunk on RC.
