1980 F-100 Vent Window Seal Replacment Procedure

If you would like to know how to do a vent window seal replacement, please check out Gary's Website @ Vent Windows - Gary's Garagemahal

FYI DO NOT buy the JC Whitney vent window seals!! They do not seal up right and I have been putting layers of silicone to get the air noise out. With all the work involved I would strongly recommend getting a good set of seals before doing this project.

Cash sent me a write-up, complete with pictures, that did a good job of explaining how to do the seal replacement. He did all of the hard work, and I'm just hosting it on my site.

But, after having gone through the write-up several times when loading it up, I can imagine his frustration with the JC Whiplash seals. To go through all of that work and then have leaks has to be maddening.

Please don't use any kind of silicone based lube, Biggest contaminate going, and promotes rust!
Silicone sealant on a leaky windshield frame = instant water stoppage, but the silicone is now eating the steel, tick, tock, tick, tock.
and you will never be able to stabilize new paint......
