Like the heated seats there may be a button to turn it on and off. May be more expensive than it's worth.

There have been many mornings when I wish I had a heated steering wheel.
The biggest problem with modifying something so new is few people have had time to make any changes and even fewer are willing to take something so new apart.
You are on the bleeding edge.

When I bought my Platinum it was only a few hundred dollars more than a Lariat with the same equipment (minus the heated steering wheel of course).

Main reason I went with the Platinum was because I didn't want chrome bumpers and grill.

But oddly enough they delete chrome in some places, and add it in others - tow hooks, mirror caps, door handles, etc.

Back on topic, the steering wheel is activated on the MyFord Touch screen. I dont think there is any other way/switch to activate it. Same with the seats. MFT screen only. No hard switch.

I dont know if the dealer can reflash the MFT screen (if you have it) to include the steering wheel switch.

I was hoping a ford enginer would answer question or someone that tried it I don't mind spending money on new wheel but a heated wheel would be nice in winter

I'd be curious to see how much the parts department charges for a new heated wheel. I bet it isn't cheap.

I'm in the same boat as you. Can't be that hard to accomplish this. I have a 2016 Lariat Ultimate. I too, wished for that heated wheel.

I take it they have an element or pad in the wheel to heat it. They are not complicated.(unless Ford decided to complicate it) You could probably wire it into an upfitter switch to turn it on and off but you have use the right wires in the connector. This is assuming Ford didn't put a thermocouple and other crap in to control the heat output tied into the MyFord system or some other module. However considering how much of a PITA it can be to ad something as simple as Fog lights on these trucks I would not assume it is simple and going to be easy.

Click on "Private Meesages" under you name in the upper right corner of your compute screen. Then at the left of the screen you will see "Edit Avatar" in your Control panel. You can link an avatar or upload it from your computer. You are limited to a small file size with an avatar so pictures have to be sized small.
