94 f-350 crew cab charging problems

I just did a 3g alternator conversion on this truck today, and it didnt work. I have done all the research I could find and to the best of my knowledge it should have worked. I took the alternator back and had it tested, and it tested good. So seeing if anyone that has done this can tell me if I did something wrong. I have the regulator hooked as this
A- yellow wire to battery
S- to the single wire connector
I- hooked to grn/red wire on truck
Output- hooked to battery side of solinoid with 150A fuse

I did remove old alternator harness because couldn't see a reason to leave it.

Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like everything is wired correctly, I would check all your connections and make sure you don't have a wire broken somewhere, Do you have power to the green/red wire when the vehicle is running??

I will have to check that. I would say that I do because I put the old alt. back in and it is working (kind of).

If there is power there I would test the wires and make sure you have continuity through them and the fuse

Which fuse?

Is there any reason to leave the factory wiring?

If the alternator light does not come on when you turn the key on and the engine is off, either the bulb is burnt out, the alternator regulator is dead, or there is a wiring fault between the bulb and the alternator.

Not really.
I don't think the trucks switched over until '95 or 96.

I have a bricknose so I'm not sure but my charge failure light has a resistor across the bulbholder (so the truck will charge even if the bulb burns out)

The 7.3 may have had a different starting year than the 460.
