97 f250 460. True dual exhaust?

Am wanting to do the exhaust on my truck. I don't need to smog so I was thinking about deleting my cat and running true duals... maybe with headers? Would it affect anything? Is this something I shouldn't do?

Is it a Cali truck? I'm not sure about the Cali's because they were EEC-V pcms which may have had a post cat O2 sensor. If it isn't, you will have no trouble with a cat delete and making true duals. You may have clearance issues with the pipes. You will only get the sound of a true dual truck. FYI adding headers or more pipe to a stock motor will not add any more power than a fake hood scoop.
