Buford what is your goal?
Tow anything in particular or just fun toy?
Well we tow a variety of trailers for a variety of reasons in my family. The largest trailer we have is a tri-axle, fully enclosed unit that hauls cars to car shows. I've had to use it on a few occasions for "roadside rescue", but I wouldn't say towing is a goal for me. I'm mostly an old school hot rod fanatic, and want my daily drivers to be "souped up" so to speak. So I guess my goal is to rod it up a bit. The paint is horrible, but paint aint what makes it go, and I've always enjoyed having somewhat of a sleeper. Plus, I like to get my hands dirty and tinker, and this will give me a reason to get out of the recliner and do something.
I know the look all to well. I have two trucks that I drive, and six more for parts. Have two more projects hitting the property soon, and my wife says in a sarcastic tone......"Oh how nice......we have our own little junk yard"
My defense is "Fine, I'll sell it all, use the money for a down payment on a new $70,000 Powerstroke, and we can make $800 a month payments on it, and I'll end up modding it anyway!" LOL!!!
In all seriousness though, she is OK with my addiction to these trucks. She knows how much I enjoy these old trucks.
Now if you'd just post a photo of that pretty little thing for Buford, we'd all be happy.
I picked up all but one of the parts that I've determined are required to correct the play in the steering wheel. The one missing part will be on the counter at 0830hrs Monday morning. I wonder how many parts I'll actually need? Good thing I'm off Monday.
