top 3 sites for wheels/tires?

I'm browsing through Carid's site now. What would you guys say, are the top 3 go-to sites for rims and tires? Who has the biggest selection?

Tire Rack and Discount Tire are two that I use (sorry, I don't have a third). Discount will typically price match or beat any price you can find online as long as you bring a printout.

Ditto on Discount Tire, aside from tough to beat pricing, they are all over the place (at least in Texas) so I have tons of close options for the free lifetime rotation & balancing.

I found that when I was trying to make up my mind which wheels I was going to get, bbwheelsonline.com seemed to be a bit less expensive than most places. When I did order them, they shipped from TN to WA in 3 days (shipping was free)

great group of people & extremely knowledgeable

I had been buying tires from tirerack for years and just paying the 15 bucks per tire for mounting/balancing. I was buying sets of tires for 600 when the tire shops were wanting 900. I think the shops have realized they were losing customers to the internet in the last couple years though.

The last time I went into America's tire with a set of tirerack tires to be mounted, the service manager told me, next time I am buying tires he will beat any price I find on the internet, period. Next time I needed a set of tires, he delivered and I bought from America's tire.

I've had good luck with local pricing. I use Tire Rack for research and pricing purposes, but they've never been the best deal when you include shipping and installation. I'm gonna continue doing that though, and would happily buy from them if it made financial sense.

I suspect the equation may be different if you're buying wheels with the tires. TireRack would mount and balance them, and you could install them in your own garage without paying a local installer.

I have bought several sets of tires through Discount Tires on Ebay. They have a $100 off anything over $400 sale with free shipping several times a year which seemed pretty good to me.

As a big fan of Discount tire I usually buy from them. My last set of tires I bought from onlinetires.com Even with Discount beating their price I still saved by not paying any taxes or fees.

I use Tire Rack for research, but buy my tires locally. My relationship with my local tire shop is worth it to me.

I buy locally from a tire shop at the outer banks. Below wholesale usually. In fact the tires BFG AT on my old dodge W250 (33x12.5r16.5) run me about $125 each. Just bought another set $500 installed since they're phasing them out.
