460 4x4 oil filter adapter

i am working on a 85 f250 4x4 with a 460... the engine i installed is out of a 78 f250 4x4 and it had the oil filter coming straight out of the engine.. the 85 needs the adapter that turns the oil filter out toward the front of the engine.. i have the adapter and bolt.. when i removed the original oil filter (stub) fitting, the block thread is what looks about like the size of a 1/2 ntp (but its not) but the adapter bolt is the same size as the oil filter threads.. is there a reducer type adapter i need to get to mount the oil filter adapter to the 460 block?

PartsguyEd was a sponsor of this site.

Just do a search for that part number and you will find some for under $10.

I've posted the part number for the motor mount adapters before but don't know of a source for the tin heat shields.

Maybe someone who has the MPC on CD can look up the #.
I don't have a functioning optical drive atm.
