Its all good and so is the hard work on your Ford truck!

$.02, flip the rear shock (top) mount bracket (lone one behind your body mount bracket) over and cut/grind the way to small drain groove a little bigger. To help with it draining and not clogging up with road dirt.

ok so I picked this Cummins up for 900!!
the f150 did not like it one bit..

I had to build a homemade cart stand for the motor...
I put it on the heavy duty engine stand I had and because its three legs it tipped over....
I guess you live and learn..

I cracked the time housing and I also broke the vacuum pump..

Flip over your good one and you will see the VERY small drain groove. Black & Orange, cool.

oh if anyone can help me along...
im looking for a hanger... it the front suspension rear mounting hanger.. it looks like this!

when I put the 460 in I removed them and scrapped them and replaced them with my own bracket.. I put dual exhaust in that was really tight to the frame...

should I cut through the metal or just make it wider and deeper?

I would guess a little of both in that area, making is a little bigger should not weaken the bracket. I do not mean a 1" wide and a 1" deep either though. lol

I think there is another guy looking for that part, front leaf spring rear hanger that is riveted to the frame?

Scott - what year is your F150? Early 2000's? I am looking for a 2003 in exactly that style (supercab flareside). How do you like it? Have you had it long? Any major issues?

The 150 is alright.. biggest problem I have with the truck is the motor seams really weak... and the rear springs are very light...

It rides nice because of this..
I use it for my every day use and I can say I enjoyed my 2004 silverado much more.

My sister has the same truck and here engine is under powered to..

Oh and anything under 2004 has regular spark plugs.. alot of people think all 5.4 have the spark plug problem but that didn't come about until the 3v newer 5.4

Oh and I also had to change the tranny at 160,000 miles... the tranny leaked out the front seal and the previous owner must have figured out that if you run it out of fluid it stops leaking.. my sisters has 180,000 factory tranny and it runs strong!
