Unusual Body Builds

I'm on the hunt for build threads and information on builds of unusual or custom bodies. Things like shortened or lengthened beds, Four Door Broncos, 6 Door Rigs, 4 doors plus Extra Cab, etc. I can Google all kinds of images, a lot of rigs have been built. What I'm after is the how-to and pitfalls of those who have made rigs like these themselves.

I am searching, so far I've found two interesting threads on the subject:
IDIoit's Broncosaurus, a Four Door Bronco Build. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ncosaurus.html
Blueoval_boy_64's Bobbed long bed https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...b-project.html

I'm thinking about building myself something along the lines of a 4 door bronco but longer wheelbase either 155" or 168", or maybe a 4 door plus extra cab with a short bed.

The truck in my sig has a super short bed, bobbed in the front to make room for a super cab on a regular cab frame.

155" is stock ECLB and 168" is stock CCLB, so no, no tougher in corners then others.

Did you do it by drilling out the spot welds for the front panel and more or less just sliding it back and plug welding it?

I assume you used a short body lift to clear the frame at the back of the cab?

I was going to move the panel at first but I couldn't see how to keep it clean so I ended up taking a swath from the middle.

It took a 3" to be able to clear the frame kick.

I never measured one. It just seemed long. I was thinking with some of the corners I do here, I have to back up and make a second try.
