Hello all. Ive been lurking around for some time decided it was time to join in the fun! Dad bought a 78 F250 4x4 back in 1980, I was 6 years old, I remember bringing it home with him. Lots of hunting memories in that truck.

The last few years now I've been hounding him to sell it to me, its been sitting outside and getting worse every year. About a year ago now he gave it to me! I'm finally the owner of a 78 F250 Lariat 4x4, automatic, factory air, tilt, cruise, 460 (dad swapped out the 400), tool stowage box, northland special, midnight blue metallic with silver metallic. I'll try to post some pics.

Looks like a nice truck, any immediate plans for anything?

 

Try to fix all the leaks for now. I went through all the wiring and got everything working except the cruise. It'll be a work in progress. It runs and drives great, gets me to work every day👍

Nice truck and even cooler because its your dad's. I've been to Velva before. Hauled a load of tailings out of the ethanol plant there once. LOL

We even have a few resident parts gurus that can help locate those hard to find NOS parts. Just for future reference.

 

It looks like it's still in pretty good shape, great starting point. I like the tool box in the side of the bed.
