How do you identify your Excursion gender-wise and why?
Just like the titles says, is your Excursion a 'he' or a 'she' and why?
Traditionally, men call their vehicles by a female name and women identify their vehicles in a masculine way. However I have seen almost as many of you fine gents here calling your Ex by a name of the male persuasion.
This is the first vehicle that has been gender-neutral to me, and more often than not I refer to Stay Puft as 'it'. The Chevelle is Cecelia, the Nova was The Bitchy Witch, my last XJ was Little Miss, and the last sport bike was Angel. Stay Puft is named after the marshmallow man, which while a man by name.... wasn't exactly a man.
I don't think calling something this large and powerful by a female name other than 'Bertha' or 'Gertrude' or 'Hilda' makes much sense, it's just so big and in-your-face for a female name to apply properly.
What's y'all's take and why?

We were trying to come up with names for the X. I kept coming up with big, strong animal names. We couldn't agree. My son then suggested Fido. We all thought that was so ironically funny that that is IT'S current name.
As a female I feel weird calling it a she and calling it a he just seems strange as I've never heard anyone do that.

DW has named her vehicles "Beauty", "Sunny" (convertible) and "Smokey" she is dark, I say she is a "stripper".
Prior to meeting my DW I never named vehicles, I thought employees, horses and by extension vehicles should not be named because you may have to eat them ... someday.
I have since softened.
How 'bout Rosie?

Never really liked guys calling cars "she". A drag racing acquaintance used to say it all the time and it bugged the crap out of me. "when I hit the nitrous, she hit the tires hard", "she had a little shimy at the big end"...."Shes ready for the weekend"....ugh.
I call my truck a 13itch now and then buts its neutral, just meaning its being a pain in the butt.
I feel my truck is neutral because its a manly platform but yet a station wagon.
I have it listed as Lantern in my profile, Green Lantern, but commonly refer to it as the beast or the Excretion if its giving me trouble.
