Got my PCM back and installed. Did ohm test from IDM plug out to injectors and back. All wiring/ injector solenoids tested good,(2.8-3.1 ohms). Ran snap on injector buzz test,(only 1 buzzed/ 7 just clicked). All other tests good/ no codes.
I guess I got a bad IDM to replace!
Now, can I use any 2000 IDM in a 97 Cali 7.3? Or do I have to buy a 97 Cali and modify? Cause I wanna 120 volt IDM.

 

Yes, IDMs are interchangeable, '94.5 to '03.

 

I got my PCM repaired by SIA Electronics (blown resistor), and ran injector buzz test (1 injector buzzed). I got a rebuilt IDM from GB manufacturing. While it was down I cleaned fuel filter bowl and regulator screen and replaced filter. I left my Tony Wildman chip off until he tests it at his shop.
Truck fired right up and is running fine.
