I left you a visitors message. I need to know the length to verify that the one I have is correct for a 226.

OK, I looked this up in the parts list and engine size is irrelevant. What transmission are you using, the 3 spd, the HD 3 spd, or the 4 spd?

It's on the floor but I'm not sure of that either. I got the truck in pieces and dropped the engine and tranny at the shop.
I can find out in the morning when I go to work.

OK, there are only 2 different shafts used. I can make this easy for you. If your transmission has a splined output shaft, it is a light duty 3 speed and I don't have the proper shaft. If your transmission has a U-joint yoke output, then you have either a heavy duty 3 speed or a 4 speed and I have a drive shaft that will work. Let me know.

I'm glad you know because I didn't but I do know it has u-joints. So I'm interested in yours if price and shipping charges are good. My zip is 77583.

OK, forum rules say this should be done via private message but since you cannot yet do that with your low post count, I will need your email address.

I'm selling off all my spare 53-56 Ford truck body parts that I don't need for my project. If anyone is coming to the "Back to the 50's" car show ( St. Paul, MN ) and are interested in any or all of the parts, I'm only about 1/2 hour south of the show.

I posted an ad in the classified section here with info and pics of the parts.

I've got fenders ( front & rear ), inner fenders, short box running boards, short running boards, 55 front valance/gravel pan, air deflectors, hood latch/upper valance panels and a radiator mount/core support.

Here's a link to my classified ad: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post16353159

If you are interested in any or all of it just send me a PM.

free stuff

I have two sets of used water pumps off my 50 Ford truck both need rebuilding. One set is in a shipable box. Pay for shipping and they are yours.

I have one 7.00 x 17 tire that I took off the front of my truck. It only has maybe 3,000 miles on it but didn't trust it anymore on highway. It took a lot of weights to balance. Part of a set of new old stock tires I bought new in 1984.
Pay for shipping and its free. Also have a used boot for it if you need.

I do need a 17" widow maker wheel for my spare tire. prefer one that is clean and painted and cheap.

I'm located in St. Louis county Missouri

Looking for a decent pair of stock rims for a 48-52 F1 (Could be other years too) Size is 16"X4.5". I'll be blasting and painting them so color/rust is not an issue just so they are useable. I need two but if you have only 1 I'm still interested. I just need to get 2 of them at some point

I didn't know that the F1's had 16" wheels that were stock. All my F1's have 15" wheels. If you need a few of those I can help you.

AFAIK all F1's came with 16" wheels. The 15" didn't become available until the F100 in 1953.
