Memory Seats always go back to position 1 when unlocked

2009 Expedition
My wife is position #1, I'm position #2. If I put the seat in position #2, they'll stay there until I unlock the car (with either key fob) and it goes back to position #1.

Any way to make the seat stay in the last position it was in until it's manually changed?

I'm pretty sure the 2009 DOES NOT have the MyKey system

If the easy exit feature is on, I'd give it a try with it off.

It's off currently, which is why I notice it. My wife (#1) is shorter and has the seat closer. Every time I go to get in, the seat is back up at the dash.

Can't the keys be programmed to each position?

Confirmed, it does have the seats associated with the keys. Just need to read the manual

To activate this feature:
1. Position the seat, power mirrors, adjustable pedals and steering
column (if equipped) to the desired positions.
2. Press and hold either the 1 or 2
control on the driver’s seat for five
seconds. (A tone will be heard after
11⁄2 seconds when the memory store
is done) continue to hold until a
second tone is heard after five
seconds.
3. Within three seconds press
the control on the remote entry
transmitter.
4. A tone will be heard when the activation is complete.
5. Repeat this procedure for another remote entry transmitter if desired

Did you possibly switch keys with your wife?

Nope. Both keys were sending it to position 1. I held down #2 for 5 seconds, then locked my fob. Now her key sends it to #1 and mine to position #2.

I assumed it was all part of the MyKey system that wasn't introduced until later.
