I think you got the tail of what swatted us Tuesday. 3-5 inches locally in Rankin Co. Parts of Pearl reverting to a lake. I've got to cover a bunch of stuff trying to bud too damn early. Neighbor still has green leaves on an old oak. Almost willing to bet we get March snow.
Rebuilt the carb on the '68 yesterday. Monkey'd with the timing (broke my timing light). Got it doing burn outs in the gravel. Revs up good with no spitting back.
This pic shows the general condition of the body. It has some rust. Running gear seems solid.
Rear brakes aren't connected. Right front caliper isn't getting fluid. Gonna start cracking lines and see where the trouble is. Prolly gonna replace them all in time.
Got the exhaust all connected today. Much quieter now. It would hardly run when I cranked it the first time after connecting the pipes. Had to hammer on glass packs and tail pipes to knock the dirt dobber nests loose.
Still out in the Gulf, looks like y'all had some weather pass through again, hope everyone came through unscathed...it's actually pretty nice out here right now, sure it won't last though.
