Hey all,

I'm just about done rebuilding my braking system, but there is one pesky part I am having a lot of trouble identifying/finding and thought someone here may be able to provide some advice.

I've got a '78 F100 (2WD, 302) with disc/drum setup and have recently installed a Doorman M39634 MC and a PV2 proportioning valve. On the old setup there was a large brass fitting between the rear brake line and the MC (seen in photo, mounted on the MC). Is it likely that this was a residual pressure valve of some sort?



On the new setup the rear MC outlet is an M18x1.5 -far larger than any brake line fitting I've seen. Which leads me to believe it is for some sort of valve. Can any provide any sort of insight / know where I can find the adaptor/valve I'm looking for? (Male M18x1.5 to pretty much any smaller female fitting size - I've got plenty of fittings)

 

Looks like an adapter to me.

 

Now the trick is to find it. Striking out everywhere

 

That's just a fitting adapter ..... we have them at Advance Auto Parts ..... your's should too.
