?? Can someone please help ?? 95' Ford F-150 4.9L 4x4 manual trans

Bought this truck with it running but had the keyed ignition out of it , we would slide the actuator in the steering column forward to power the dash on , then had a push button switch ran from out under the hood on the fire wall starter solenoid/relay switch , the truck ran great like this with no issues, but was rigged up .

I changed out the steering column to an up graded one from salvage yard from same year and model truck and found that the clutch safety switch was the reason it was having to be started in the rigged up way, so after doing a lot of probing around with a continuity test with about a 10 foot lead. I found that it was a break in the clutch pedal safety switch which was not letting the truck get 12 volts to the starter /relay/solenoid on the fire wall, but now it does after installing a new clutch safety switch from Oreilly's, BWD brand . Now after this , the motor will turn over and over and over and never try to start , I've checked the terminal at the fuel pump and its getting no voltage to it , but the relay is clicking and the fuse is not blown , it don't even seem like its sparking cause we sprayed starter fluid down the air breather and it done nothing , could this all be from a faulty or bad clutch safety switch or something else . Is it possible its something else , just when I thought I had it whooped , this happens..! Please help someone , please..!!

Hey fastcat,
I'm going to move your post over to the forum for your year of truck, as this sounds like it has a lot more to do with the eletrical systems, and not necessarily the engine itself.
Hope you get the help you need.
