I am wanting to see what you guys used for an accelerator pedal and do you like it?
I just ordered an EFI throttle cable and AOD throttle valve cable from BCBRONCOS. It is designed to run from the firewall around the front of the upper intake, allowing no harsh bends in the cables. I have played with different cables and running them along the firewall to the passenger side just creates too much bind...not gonna have that...
This set of cables are designed for the Early Bronco gas pedal, but I'm sure I can use something else since I don't have an early Bronco pedal. (had one in high school...'68...wish I still had it...) but lend me your experience.

 

Using 89 crown vic cable and s10 accelerator pedal, just stuff I had laying around

 

Is your throttle body on the drivers side?
Mine is on the passenger side.
As I recall, the crown vics upper intake/ throttle body was on the drivers side.
And the cables were too short for my setup.
But the S-10 pedal worked out. Did you have to modify it at all?

I'm using the set up from a E250 (engine donor)I had to modify the petal bracket because the van pulled from in front of the engine I think it will work I haven't got the engine running yet

 

I have two salvage yard pedals in the garage and can't remember what I got them from! LOL
I know they were Fords though.

The cable is long from the 89 van I looked at my 89 f250 and copied the pedal and I think the cable in that truck could work, it's a 460 efi

Your right it's on the drivers side,I did some minor bending.

 

If it helps any, that picture looks identical to the throttle setup on my 88 Bronco with a 302. 1987 through 1992 would all be the same.

I used the petal from the Jaguar I took the front end from. Had to bend it some put it worked fairly well. Sorry I did not take a picture of it.

 

I used a spoon pedal from Speedway. My engine is from an 88 Lincoln Town Car. 5.0 L Lo Po. Good enough for me.

 

I'm assuming you're talking about the non-coyote/modular engines? For those, and I'm using the coyote, the FRPP control pack comes with a pedal that has to be used. You can't use a separate pedal as it has to be capable of controlling the electronic throttle.

I used a Lokar floor mounted pedal and cables, so far they work just fine. Also used the Lokar kick down cable for the AOD.
