Runnin board bent

The running board is a little bowed on the out side it was pushed under something after a side Impact a couple of pic.
Any ideas

A deep gouge then it slid under what ever

Most of the dents are out of the runnin board rail just a little bend it pushed the out side rib up

I was using a 40 foot aluminum ladder to caulk some windows one time. Went to move it and it got away from me. When it crashed to the ground it bent it about 2 inches. Me and the guy I was working with put it crown up on the curb. I held it and he jumped on it a few times. Good {almost} as new. Maybe the running board needs a massage in a similar manner, no jumping though.

Good luck, the RB's are some tough, thick steel. I tried working the creases out of mine, finesse just didn't cut it.

I would be tempted to flip it over and put a small block of wood under each end and pull it with big C-clamps or stand on it. The gouge in the outside rounded area might be able to be dinged out using a piece of pipe or something round that matches the radius and beat it out. Keep in mind that I am not a paint and body man.

This is only an amateur opinion from an amateur mind, but maybe a jack under the bowed point in the RB using the trucks weight and possibly some heat ( with RB still attached to truck). Or taking it off and applying weight on the bow while it sits on a flat hard surface utilizing some wood to help as stated in p #4. As far as the outside curve I used a galvanized fence pole clamps and Hammer and dolly, with some success. Like its been said its some tuff stuff. Good luck Schoo
