1961 Econoline Pickup Seats
So I am nearing the end of the restoration of my 1961 Ford Econoline Pickup. When I got the truck it was almost completely apart so I never saw how to take certain parts of it apart. All I have left to do is install the seats and hang the doors. I have the brackets on the seats but can't seem to get them to fit right. I know the offset slider bracket and the tube piece with the foot bent toward the rear go on the drivers side but I can't get anything to line up. It either hits the battery box or the holes on top of the fender won't line up.
I can post pictures if needed but don't currently have any. If somebody could post some close up pictures of the underside of the drivers seat and the associated brackets that would be greatly appreciated.
Included below are some pics showing the massive bed and unibody work I had to do to the truck. It all back together and painted now Im just waiting for the snow to leave to take some good pics of it outside.

Seats
Thanks for the reply. I have modified the seats to make them work but the brackets look like the ones in the picture you posted. Do you know if the seat frames also changed in 1965? Because that is what I ended up changing and after a little rearrangement of the threaded pieces where the brackets bolt to the seat frame everything fit perfectly.

She is as simple as they come!
Searching around for info on installing my seats into my 65' panel and found this thread. It had some seats modded into it and I found a pair of originals that came out of a 63' and want to get them in there. Looks like there must of been some spacers on the driver side so the seat cleared the adjusters but I am missing them. Also does anyone know how I would go about making the passenger side into the optional folding seat. It would be great to access the back when needed?

The 1965-1965 seats were lower than the 1961-1964 seats. The angle of the steering column also changed that year to match the height of the seats.
Thus, if you have the earlier seat brackets, you could shorten them, or find later-year ones, or just live with the taller seats. It depends on how high you want your seats. The lower 1965-1967 seat keeps my head from hitting the ceiling.
The optional folding seat was an entirely different seat from the regular seat. It would take a lot of engineering to convert one to the other.
Here is a drawing showing both seats.
