2009 Expedition - Front windows won't roll down, sometimes
Long-time member, but back after what looks like about 7 years since my last post.
Anyway, just bought an 09 Expedition EL Limited. I ran through every button and function I could find at the dealership and it all worked great.
The next morning I went to roll the driver's window down and it makes a noise like it's going to start, but barely moves - if at all, then stops. Same with the front passenger. Rear windows worked fine. It was freezing and snow-covered at the time.
Yesterday (warmer and sunnier), all windows worked perfectly fine - just like they did at the dealership.
Thoughts? The only thing that changed was the temperature.

The front windows seem notoriously bad on these. We've always had trouble on our 2008 in winter (We're in northern Canada). Summer they work ok, but still slower than most vehicles. Cold weather... don't put them down!
I've replaced regulators, cables, etc, and it helps a little for a while but cold weather always wreaks havoc.
Sorry.

Have you had a chance to have your windows diagnosed by your Ford Dealer? Our certified techs are best to inspect and repair any issue.
