Anyone run their dent in the Hot Rod Power Tour??

My Diesel dent 79 F250 4x4 is closest to being done this year, and am thinking of running it in the power tour... The light is at the end of the tunnel. Switch transmission, bodywork and paint...some gauges, and speedometer cable ...

I'm thinking about it this year, waiting for them to announce the route. Mine Just Needs A Few FINISHING touches. I don't know why my phone is capitalizing random stuff

A friend that goes every year told me the route, the part I would run would be to drive to Dallas and run the tour from Dallas to Kansas City.

I wanted to do it in my 79 this past summer when it started in Madison, WI but decided not to. Didn't really have the time, and also I've heard a lot of people complain that it's too crazy with how many people show up. Miles of backup on highways before stops, too many late model vehicles, etc... Just sounded like more of a pain in the butt than anything to me. They could be wrong though, I might still try it sometime if I've got the time. The car craft summer nationals look pretty cool too. I think there's one in Missouri, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin each year at different times. I'll probably end up doing one sometime to see how it is.

Good luck with the rest of your swap and enjoy it when she's done.
