Reversed Eye Rear Main Leaf

Reversed Eye Rear Main Leaf
Question:
Decades ago, a friend gave me two new reversed eye rear main leaves (or leafs?) I suspect they came from Chassis Engineering or Posies. Since I have the truck on stands at the moment doing some other work, I thought it might be cool to install them. I recently replaced the bushing pins so it won't be a battle getting the springs removed.
If anyone is using reversed eye mains, does the front spring hanger need to be relieved to clear the spring and if so, how much?
Thanks as always,

Yeah, I noticed that when I was looking at some manufacturer's sites. My spring in reversed on both ends. As mentioned, I've had them forever. My guess is a relief wouldn't need to be extreme but was just curious if others had done it.

When I installed the reversed eye main leaf, it hit the stock forward hanger just as the spring leaf eye enters the mount. So then I flipped the hanger and the leaf clears, but to me it looks as though the leaf mount eye position on the hanger moved 'lower' by 1". This seemed to counter the 1" of 'lift' the reverse eyes provided, and I didn't gain any lower ride heighth. What am I missing?
