Speaker Grill and Screws
#2
I was just going to mention that on my truck - the one I've disassembled to the core - which has/had the padded dash - it had two different lengths of screws that went all the way through the grille, pad, metal dash panel, speaker mesh (kept crumbs off the speaker), speaker (which is covered with yet another finer cloth to keep smaller crumbs off) and used wing nuts on the back side. I'll have to look at my other two trucks (both padded dash, too) and feel up under there and see if they are similar. Shorter two screws toward the window edge and longer two screws toward the seat. I'd guess because the dash pad was thicker as it comes closer to the seat before it wraps over.
Trucks without padded dashes may have same length screws.

Thanks, I saw that posting but felt like $75 was a bit high but then again I've just started to look....

The ad also says or best offer. Make him an offer whatever your comfortable making. You never know. Most sellers put a high dollar on something, but will usually accept something lower. Worth a try.

Actually, that's not a bad price if the speaker and grille are in good shape.
I sell the grille alone for that price. I make sure the metal is in perfect. I media blast it and apply a 2 part epoxy primer. As soon as I get a little time, I'll shoot the two I have with black semi.
As for the speaker, I saw an after market duel speaker setup online about 3 months ago. Pretty cool. 2 speakers can be setup as stereo.

Doesn't include the screws and wing nuts, but it does include the defrost vents. Not a bad price, although good ole Don would have gone about $5 for a grille. I should have bought up his stock of loose parts.
