Spare tire carrier nut wrench

Thanks to Number Dummy for posting a source for the spare tire carrier nuts; now my spare tire carrier nut wrench will have something to play with. I will have to put the correct finish on them, though. The wrench should have a parts number, but alas, decades in the tool tray covered by mouse urine-soaked seat padding erased it. Haven't got around to finishing it, yet. Thanks also to Lin Stacey, Ford tool guru for his advice.

One of the many things I'm still needing to find for my truck(s). I'll be leaning on Lin Stacey too when I get there. Stu

As mentioned, I lucked out and found one in a tool tray of a derelict. I would put in a request to Lin as he said they are hard to come by. Looking at it, a fella could make a copy if needed.

Yep. I bought a correct jack from him, as well as the reproduction tool roll. The rest of the items I have been assembling myself. Check with him about the wheel bearing nut wrench as well. I got one from the same place as the above wrench. They are reported to be scarce as well. I'd give him a shout so he can keep an eye open for the rare items.

In all seriousness when I see these posts I am most impressed with the dedication and determination of those who restore these vehicles to their original form. This is something I am not into but have the respect for those who do and if it was not for you guys my knowledge would be a lot less.

01A-17035 (01A is the part number prefix for: 1940 Ford passenger car).

C = F1/F100 / D = F2/F250 / J = F3 Parcel Delivery & P350 / Y = F3/F350.

Thanks for number. I have chassis parts catalog and Mr. Stacey provided the number as well I don't have his email anymore but if I remember correctly it should be on tool. But Mr Mouse took care of that if it was.
